I started with the Beano & Dandy but became quite bored with them very early on, so I started reading Cor, Wizard & Rover, Roy of the Rovers and some Scorcher, Victor, Hornet, Warlord and 2000AD and later VIZ

Some characters from these I loved were "The Wolf of Kabul", "Alf Tupper", "Gorgeous Gus", "V for Vengeance", "Rogue Trooper", "Judge Dredd", "Sam Slade", "Strontium Dog" (That's enough 2000AD...Ed)

I did read a lot of US based comics - these were a favourite of my older cousin, so I was lucky enough to have access to Superman, Hulk, Iron Man and others on an almost weekly basis.

So - what about you?

I liked the vibrating bum faced goats in Viz.

Alright stbf, hope you're good. If you're a comic book guy, I'll recommend this terrific yarn.

Started again with Beano and Dandy then on to Viz. Always found the letters page hilarious

Jump Jet F*nny and Her Hawker-Siddley Tw*t is the greatest Viz title ever.

I have a possible addiction to comic books and graphic novels that is possibly unhealthy for a person of my age. I think it’s the art.

A set I have recently become familiar with that I am enjoying are Blake & Mortimer. Proper Ripping Yarns kind of material laid out in comic strip style.

I lived for the Transformers magazine being delivered every Saturday. Always remember one of the robots being called Hooligan, from the planet Mil-Wall. Probably apt at the time...

Hotshot Hamish, Scorcher.
Until they paired him with a daft mouse anyway.
Part of the infamous "Tiger, Scorcher, Tiger & Scorcher, Roy of the Rovers, Eagle" period of confusion.

Another one that started with The Beano and The Dandy before moving on to The Victor, The Tiger, and finally The Shoot magazine.

You always got a good story in the Bazooka Joe Bubble Gum. ;)
