Financial Accounts and that
While visiting Bristol City's forum I cam across this interesting thread.
It's a bit 'heavy' with lots of financial jargon......the detail may be of interest to other board members with a financial background.
WARNING - it can be a tough read......a thread to scan for most!
But please bare with it. There are some good views in there.
Personally I'd like to see teams that over-spend get penalised.....otherwise the whole League suffers and Clubs are put in jeopardy.
The gist of it seems to be a group of fans monitoring who is doing what regarding FFP.
I get the feeling that Bristol City have always been quite 'honest' about their dealings. They have a lot of potential as a Club given the catchment area - though I do get that they are more closely linked with rugby. In Steve Landsdown they have an owner with potentially deep pockets.
But they never seem to pay the big bucks - I remember being surprised when they were linked with Andre Gray for £8m or summat years ago when hew was as Brentford.
It seemed weird for them to be involved in a big transfer - Generally they seem to keep their heads down.
They have sold a few - Bryan, FLINT, Adam Webster, Bobby Reid......
Their fans must be so frustrated at playing fair/naiive they have set this thread up to keep an eye on everyone else.
