I really don't care what your real name is. I care about your actions. And defending someone who trivialises domestic violence isn't a good look in my books

Could you quote where Randy either outwardly or tacitly defended fiona bruce? I don't recall that happening.
 
I don't hold with the connection between someone calling a public figure a rude word and them being hunted down by a maniac. It takes rather more I would say. Yes, it perhaps shows the erosion of values?

However

In previous incarnations of this board incidents would become competitions where posters would come up with the most hideous, embarrassing and painful method to remove the miscreant from the breeding population. Passions can run high and the occasional naughty word does not grant open season for the murderous among us.

It never did.

Odd also, that one rude word is now the subject of so much approbation that the issue of domestic violence seems to have been lost in a game of righteous indignation.

It got a bit out of hand, in my opinion. Sexpom is, to a degree free to use the language he deems fit. Equally others are free to question whether it is the right kind of language to use when the UK is so badly divided at the moment.
