And if you read the article there's no problem with that provided there's a sink in the room with the toilet. So many small cafes/businesses only have space for single loos.

Seems reasonable until you remember the Q's for the ladies can be - HUGE - so they'd just fill the men's ( anyones loo ) & some blokes will end up using the basin's as urinals or pee themselves..I see nothing wrong in providing facilities only women can use.
There are a few bars I like that have shared basins and loads of cubicles - quite common in indie venues/fringe theatres. And if you read the article there's no problem with that provided there's a sink in the room with the toilet.
This is b***ks. It's a genuine gender issue for women and girls. It's a "wedge" issue which they deliberately use to distract people's attention from the real cause of ordinary people's issues:
Government corruption.
Letting their mates screw the taxpayer.
Selling arms to fuel genocide.
Continuing attack on wages, conditions of employment, dismantling the NHS, the post record high level of homelessness, etc.
They want us to talk about taking a dump by whipping up moral panic.
Perhaps those whipping up the moral panic should take a dump - flush themselves down the bog where they belong!
More b***ks - see earlier response about who are affected and provision for universal toilets.I'm not sure if it's the Baker Street Café with one bog-standard [excuse the pun] toilet which is used by everyone.
Telling a small business to pay for planning permission, installation of pipework and drainage and everything else is just a pzz take
It won't add complications because single sex toilets were the norm in the past and every one in planning and building managed.Fair enough - I worry it is going to add complications to planning that we have coped without.
We should definitely be looking at ways of protecting women from abuse and provide safety. I just personally think this is not achieving that and is pure soundbite rather than actual action - like increased police, with specially trained officers, review of the prosecution in sexual and domestic abuse cases, and better restraint on those previously found guilty of partner abuse.
Disabled loos will count as a universal toilet so the current arrangements will continue without the need for change.Disabled loos are gender neutral aren't they? Is the gov going to mandate separate disabled loos or are they not going to tell them to throw away their crutches or soil themselves?
OK where there are universal toilets but have not seen this issue addressed where the toilets are gender based. All very well, but what do we then provide for trans (male or female).
I have a trans daughter and one thing continually on her mind is what does she do if she is caught short?
Can’t use the men’s, can she use the ladies? If not where does she go?
Do we have a seperate toilet for trans people, thus singling them out even more?
Lots of cafes here have shared facilities, we don’t seem to have too many problems. Maybe it’s a British thing .
No problem with this, my wife needs to go way more than I do, plus it’s easy enough for us blokes.I see nothing wrong in providing facilities only women can use.
Did you hold it in for a couple days?Ngl I sit down if I'm having a wee or ****, stand on my feet all day, having 5 minutes to sit down is great, it's my time uninterrupted
