.....Is make your team hard to beat 👍

What the hell was he doing selecting Smith and Giles as full backs in a back 4 FFS.

Giles will never be a full back as long as I have a hole in my backside. Play him left side of midfield but not left back !!

Djiksteel and Bola should have started, it's glaringly obvious to me !!!!!😡

I agree with that like.

We’re so poor defensively, we don’t have anyone who will go and win a header or at least put attackers under pressure to put them off. Giles tried to control the ball inthe box in between 3 of their players 🤦🏻‍♂️

Many of us saying exactly that at Deepdale today.... exactly that!

Woodgate was an excellent centre back, if he cannot get our defence sorted out for defending set pieces within the next few weeks at something which he already knows then what hope is there with him for the rest of the team.

The proof will Be in the pudding but we should expect those mistakes being made today to stop sharpish in my mind

We lost today because we couldn't defend against set pieces, something we've had a problem with for a while, not because of Woodgate chatting to Carrick or our full back selection.

Concerning to me was Woodgate stood talking to Carrick for most of the match.
Say what you like, he failed badly at Boro and Carrick will need a wise head, particularly as he's new to the role.
Not nitpicking...I found it worrying.

I find it absolutely incredible, and bemusing, that Woodgate is our first team coach.

He was SACKED for incompetence recently here, we’ve seen first hand how much he is lacking, then went to Bournemouth and failed to get a multi-million pound Premier League squad promoted from the Championship.

…‘but the lads love him’. Yeh I bet they do, ******* about in the changing room, pals with everyone, doesn’t ******* anyone, all nicey nicey for the spineless players.

This is my worry too. Carrick doesn't know the Champo and needs someone who does. I'm all for Woodgate working with the academy, but influencing Carrick in games? God help us.

Why on earth Woodgate is back at the club is beyond me - he had his chance, wasn’t up to it. There is no reason whatsoever for him being back here. Gibson is an idiot with his obsession over having local lads involved. The chairman is this clubs biggest problem, he just makes poor decision after poor decision

You had a thought that maybe Carrick wanted him?
