Flew to Australia…

over the last 20odd hours… so taking the credit for the win by missing the game, its build up and commentary…

Sat awake and starting to tire now just as I’m about to get up for the day 😭😭

One thing I noticed coming through Sydney airport was the amount of people in the ‘something to declare’ line.. even over hearing people say they need to go in that line to declare a chocolate bar and a Ruben’s they’d imported ..🤨

I took the risk and smuggled in a mars duo I’d forgotten I’d bought in Newcastle airport lol…

We flew in 2 weeks ago and were advised to declare chocolate to avoid the long queues at "nothing to declare". It took us longer to get through 😔

Don’t think I’ll get as good a view of the bridge as this again for a long time…

Edit, pic too large, needs editing a bit…

Yep..overcast and humid in Sydney town and photo capture that well. Typical Feb weather. My least fave month of the year in Sydney is February. Usually lots of cloud, rain and very humid.

Sometimes feel sorry for the tourists that come to Sydney this time of year expecting the clear blue skies stuff. You see them wandering around circular quay in their rain Mac’s looking grumpy as fook.

Today never really got fully light here at home, had a light on indoor most of the day..

Warm though.

Yep, that was us. Watched Paul Weller at the Opera House, came out and it was lashing down. In the first week, we had one good day. Think we arrived when it was in the 30s, been downhill ever since.

My fave time of year in Syndey is early November to New Years..before the cloud and humid hits. Some years Jan to March can be non stop cloud and rain. This year not that bad, typical Feb so far really.

Did you walk across the bridge, or over it? We are making our way back from Brisbane tomorrow, booked to canoe under the bridge next week at sunrise. Watched a few walk over it last week, too high for me.
Nah, only in Sydney To join the ship for work purposes no time for touristy stuff..

Pics look like they were taken from around Nautilus Bay. I have some very happy memories of staying there.

I did the Bridge Climb when I went in 2008.

Was dull and overcast and I have the photo of me at the apex with the opera house behind me to prove it !!!

Got my golf shoes and football boots taken off me going into Oz because I hadn't got the soil fully off them! Mental how strict they are.

Luckily they let me keep my clubs which also hadn't some soil remains on them
