Ring of Iron club back on this Friday with another singaround at the Chapel, Whitehouse Street off the Newport Bridge roundabout. Sing off 8.00pm

Unfortunately I'm busy this Friday but may get round to venturing out beyond the borders of sunny Redcar one of these days.

How regular is this run?

What's the format - do I just turn up with a guitar and a songbook and sign up for a few numbers like at an open mic?

And how folky is folk club - are there any limits on genre/style?

We run once a month mate... tbh, it's not an open mic but we welcome everyone! As for styles, you'll only get booted out if you sing wonderwall haha, obviously folk is preferred as a genre but I listen to owt and cut my teeth at folk clubs singing non folk songs so who am I to lay down the law as to what gets sung?
But yeah, preferably folk hahaha it is a folk club after all just no oasis!

Oh, and it works as a singaround ..meaning you'll get a few goes depending on numbers wanting to sing.
