Food and drink service at the riverside

Does anyone else get incredibly frustrated with the slow service at the concourses? Queues hardly move it’s as if half time comes as a complete shock to them. Finally got to the front to order a coffee, bearing in mind it’s instant coffee it still took about 4 minutes to get it. The young girl serving looked lost and kept wandering of to chase up orders with others just wandering about. Nobody pulling pints, lack of food ready and such slow service.

For me it is one thing this club has never resolved for a match day experience. You have to miss 5 minutes either side of half time if you want anything to eat or drink

Absolute shambles. It's a joke!

You also have to laugh at the people stood deciding what they want for 10mins when they get to the front, having stood looking at a menu board in a queue for 15mins. Jokes.

Should be a queue reserved for people that meet the following criteria.
A. Do you know what you want?
B. Can you successfully press your contact less card on machine and walk off with your food.

don’t understand why they don’t have a couple stood next to the pump and when someone orders they just shout over how many they want and someone else just constantly carrying them over. Not rocket science is it

Been saying it for years but looks like it will never happen. ☹️

What’s in it for the staff to run around like loonies for 30 minutes?
A job and a wage. Don’t have to run around like loonies to serve quicker. Currently you ask the person serving for 2 pints and some chips, he /she wanders of to the pump, Pulls two pints, chats to their mate for a second, comes back, dribbles half your pint over the counter then wanders slowly to the chips, forgets how to open the box up, fills it half full brings it back, puts them down in your spilt beer then forgets how the toll work. Utter shambles. Usually whist someone who’s an apparent supervisor is stood at the back in a world of their own

4 hours work every fortnight? Doubt they’re worried about a huge waiting list of people waiting to take their job.

I would imagine it’s a high turnover job, mostly taken by people who don’t really give a fook. Like takeaway delivery drivers etc.

If you want conscientious grafters, pay them £100 for the shift and put prices up to £5 a pint.

Something must have changed ?
I get a free drink as a priority supporter but haven't bothered for about 6 weeks due to queues. Waste of time....never had a problem before ?!!

My point is the club should sort a better way of working. Not hard to known demons is high pre game and half time so have people ready pulling pints to order and better supervision

It's slower than it used to be but I don't blame the kids. It's the absence of effective managers, possibly because no one with any experience in it stays very long

Compare it to McDonalds or KFC - there are the same day dreaming/ADHD youngsters doing the main work but there are usually some more experienced hands stopping everything grinding to a halt by geeing people up and focusing on what needs to happen NOW
