For Mark Riley and Gid Coe fans R6

I couldn't disagree more. Marc Riley is continually pushing new music on his show, and I doubt I'd have discovered BC Camplight, The Voluntary Butler Scheme, Cate Le Bon, Pip Blom, amongst others, as early as I did. Not to mention some lost gems that I've also discovered because of him.

I think the only DJ on the whole station who is very much of a time and place (Kentish Town Bull & Gate with a pint of Strongbow in 1992) is Steve Lurpack. The rest are continually pushing new and exciting bands.
I love Voluntery Butler Scheme are they/him still on the go. Must check out.
Another band I loved that I have gone back to is It's Jo and Danny. Fabulous

It seems to me that if you deny or seek to stop the evolution of R6 you are basically just wanting a slightly "younger" iteration of R2? Turn Riley and Coe into a Steve Wright in aspic.

Good luck with the petition but you are wasting your time.

A nice surprise to hear Mark & Lard reunited on the radio this afternoon, chatting with Craig Charles.

Plugging this “evening with…” stage show and stream.

Lovely airing of “why is it always Dairylea?” on national radio too.

Missed out on tickets for the live shows, but signed up for the livestream.

Very excited, as HIt the North, Out on Blue Six and The Graveyard Shift shows are still pretty much the foundation for all my music, book and visual interests from the early 90's onwards to this day.

Lucky enough to be in the studio and meet then a few times and they're as down to earth and funny as they appear on the radio.

Sat on the Zoom call now just waiting for them to start their reunion gig, with a bottle of wine - very excited !

Think you can still listen on a private Youtube channel if you pay

Yeah you have to pay for the Zoom too, but the advantage of that is you get a chance to ask questions apparently.

Got tickets for the London show in September too

How was it?
It was good, and lovely to see them back together, however a lot of the stories I've heard multiple times before (Helping Bowie choose the set list, as an example) and I dont feel as though they really asked any of the questions from the audience, but if you like them, as I do, then it's definitely worth going to see the show and the time just flew by.

Pleased it was a good evening. Didn’t realise they had the extra shows. Being off most socials platforms as I am. Saw this advertorial last night in Harper’s Bazaar though.
