For the attention of Mr Warnock

Bettinelli was totally at fault for the third goal but for the two previous where were Djyksteel, Bola and Fisher? Was that really the same team that demolished Reading last Saturday?

Got to better keepers available than Bettinelli. Looks the part decent kicker but I suspect his save to shot ration is poor

Surely Bettinelli won't be interested in staying anyway. He's a London boy and he's rightly receiving very little love from Boro fans. He'll be off down south as soon as he can. Maybe he can reunite with some of his numerous friends at other clubs, who he seems to love chatting to on the pitch after the final whistle of every game.

Warnock rightly slags our forwards but would be interested to see his thoughts on Bettinelli.

He seems to be the new whipping boy where as McNair and Fry can do no wrong, despite both being equally as awful last night, along with Howson and Fisher.

McNair and Fry have more good games than bad. Howson the same and Fisher has been decent too. All 4 were poor yesterday and were criticised for that. I can’t remember last time Bettinelli had a game where I was impressed by him. He’s just a poor keeper

He's not great by any means, but I don't think he's much worse than your average championship keeper. Since Christmas our defence have been leaving him far too exposed. A striker getting a free run from the halfway line is particularly ridiculous and school boy stuff.

I think our zoom with Fisher tired him out, he got subbed both games after our zoom meeting :sneaky:

I think he has to be the worst in the league, certainly the worst keeper I can remember us having. It seems to be every single game were talking about a soft goal conceded or a mistake that could have lead to a goal. Yes the defence didnt help him much last night but this is happening every week, can only blame the defenders to an extent.

We got rid of Pears who was a young lad learning the game who could have been a good keeper in a few years. Even at the level he was, he was still a better keeper than Betinelli

Yea I quite liked Pearsy

Stojanovic is better aswell. And he was actually our keeper. Now we have got 2 absolute cast offs who I wouldn’t trust to save a shot from me in my back garden in my miniature inflatable goal.

Didnt Stojanovic leave for personnel reasons?

It's obviously hindsight, but I genuinely think Pears would have been better in goal this season.

He was nothing special under Woodgate, and made a handful of mistakes himself, but nothing special is an improvement on the current situation.
