Forest offer £10m for Tav

I like Tav. I don't agree with the may haters. He's young and the first name on the team sheet.

Could he score more? Yes👍Could he have more assists? Yes👍

Yet with 2 years left and a few quid I dont think he can't be replaced.

10mil seems a bit low. Yet 12-15 and you'd say it's again decent money for a player who cost nothing (like Spence).

We seem to be making a few quid at the mo. It's longway from letting Britt / Fletcher and Sav leave for next to nothing.
Hope he stays and helps us attack down the left with MCgree and Giles

Even if you ignore the arguments about whether he is worth more or not (he is), with the size of our squad we don't want to lose anyone at the moment.
The only way I can see him going is if Tav pushes for a move, and I can't imagine that with either Bournemouth of Forest.
He'll be in the prem next summer one way or another though.

Suppose the danger is if he stays he will be heading into his last year of the contract at end of this season, unless he signs an extension? Warnock said last season he talked him into staying for one last push so guess ball is in his court

He's the epitome of a modern midfielder; dynamic, athletic and without any obvious gaps in his game. He's still learning too, so will only improve.

The obvious gaps in his game are decision making, final ball and shooting. He doesn't score nor create enough for some of the positions he gets himself into. However I agree he is still learning so potentially could still improve, although he is quickly running out of time if he wants to be at an all around premier league level.

Many have singled out his work rate and he is a proper work horse and as good as it gets at this level. However as @indeedido said it's not out of possession where his issues lie. His shooting, final ball and decision making for which is the best option to select are at times woeful. On occasions he must be ridiculously frustrating to play with.

I think he is very important for how Wilder plays, always on the front foot and pressing people and I wouldn't sell unless we got offered silly money. However, he is not irreplaceable, as his attacking skills are below par and his role in the formation demands he delivers there as well as defensively.

He did show some small green shoots of improvement in an attacking sense last season but it's another key season in his development coming up for me. Is he going to move this part of his game onto another level or is he always going to be a grafter but lacking in attacking quality.

yeah, I think he'll be off next summer if we don't go up (and probably Fry)
a new contract this season would be a nice surprise

Would be nice to start getting linked to a striker or 2

In many ways I'd say not, the best ones are the signings that come out of nowhere. No link and the first you hear of it is the new man holding a shirt the size of a tent whilst wearing a scarf even though it's 30 degrees outside.

If they can afford 10mil for tav why couldn’t they have bid on Spence, and helped the price for us
Because that would run the risk of ending up buying him. They obviously didn’t want that, which is telling.

Yeah that’s true
