Brought in basically 2 full teams of players, spent £150 million and are in big danger of going down. I don't like it when teams go up then completely overhaul and break up the team which got them there.
I understand the gap in levels but surely you are better off filling key areas but still keeping some of the team together which got promoted and build on the team spirit that got you there, go into the season with an underdog us against the big boys attitude. Maybe I'm just too sentimental for this game(it still annoys me Dimi didn't get any game time in the premier League last time).

They wont get back what they paid for them and wont be able to pay their wages.
The parachute payments might support them for a while, but Forest need a proppa rebuild - although the owners son likes to get involved where he should keep his nose out.

Steve Cooper has gone from being the positive coach to sounding like a man with his hands tied behind his back.

They`l need a bluddy big lorry to ship out that lot. A lot isnt "dead wood" - its been left in the rain for almost a season - some have hardly had game time. Dont forget they`ve had as manay Managers and caretakers as they have years out of the top flight. They dont have a mantle-piece big enough to put all the clocks on. They have given up talking about Derby - for now - but are looking forward to kicking each other if the Rams go up an trees get relegated

My worry for them, is the owner is almost as trigger-happy as Watford.
What with them and Leicester [if they go down too] from Kentish Town to Sheffield [between the A1 and M1] the whole 164 miles into the East Midlands will be without a Premiership side.

Is Chris Wood only on loan or is it a loan deal where Forest have to sign him at the end of the season regardless of league they are in?

EDIT he only had to play 3 games to trigger the £15m deal

The schadenfreude in me always takes me to messageboard of said clubs to dote in their misery. My … Forest Banter site is a beaut. Their fans are as deluded as the best of them. The match thread in particular is always a good read for ludicrous outbursts.

1. They have been done by a ridiculous number of injuries despite buying 29 new players in the season and a manager who doesn’t know his best 11.

2. Apparently they think they have the second cheapest squad in the PL which is blatantly untrue unless you put a real value on the stock.

3. They think if they go down they will waltz the league next year with the squad they have ( ignoring the undoubted fire sale they will have to conduct).

4. There Is a massive PL conspiracy against them - how else could you explain not getting a penalty when Maguire appeared to have got away with a handball in the first half.

Fans eh. Love ‘em.
