Got a knock on the door from one of my neighbours yesterday. He's a nice chap, sometimes go for a pint with him. Anyway, he mentioned it seemed like there was a bit of a gathering at a house along the road, just as you turn the corner. The people that live there run a national business. My neighbour seemed concerned so I invited him in and I poured a couple of glasses so we could discuss it. We soon came to the conclusion that it needed to be reported. The police were notified.
After about half an hour of general chat we decided to go for a walk. He called at his house as his son was coming with the dog. We walked past the house in question and there was a bit of commotion; three police cars outside and raised voices coming from the driveway. My neighbour was sort of hanging around outside the premesis as I think he wanted it to be known to the people there that we had contacted the police. I said we'd better move on so we carried on with our walk. On the way back I popped into his house, his wife had done a late curry supper which was fantastic. We also had another glass or two to celebrate our night's work. Pleasant evening on the whole.
