As we shuffle into the last of the January transfer window.. all my eggs remain in this one basket.

ALI AL-HAMADI - if it doesn’t come off and it turns out that I am not the greatest football message board poster of all time.. I might have to announce my retirement in a Jurgen Klopp style sign off.

Blackburn mentioned, Ipswich linked.. no mention of boro.

Sounds like the deal for Morgan Rogers is imminent at £10m plus £5m of add ons.

Luke Ayling feels like a new target.. as does Luke Thomas tbh

Finn Azaz feels like he’s popped up on our radar fairly recently and perhaps the deal was done with Morgan Rogers in mind.

We’ve been short of centre backs and the club will be mindful of Paddy McNairs contract situation.

Our striker target will be more of a long term target imo.. we missed out on Tommy Cannon and then apparently we were in for Brandon Vasques.. but nothing came of it. We have shown an interest much earlier with AAH and I would say he has only improved since then.

Gotta be the bigger pull with our recent for and cup exploits.. definitely ok an upwards trajectory with Michael Carrick at the helm. The number 10 shirt could become vacant with Rogers moving on..
