Met him in the best Pizza restaurant in the world, Antico Costese near Cremona Italy where he grew up and the family have a Palace. Nice guy. Really hope he improves.

I heard a few years ago that he had cancer but had forgotten all about it, I hope the story is a case of press taking 1 + 1 and making it equal 3 but it doesn't sound great.

Loved that era of Italian club teams when Vialli and Rav were doing their thing and from what we saw of him at Chelsea he seems a very decent person.

Saturday mornings were not complete without seeing a bit of Vialli, Rav, Signori, Batistuta, Ruis Costa etc on Football Italia. It was a golden age, full of iconic footballers. Hope he gets better!

I’m pretty sure he was receiving cancer treatment during the European Championships last summer.

He was a quality player and part of a great Sampdoria team in the 90’s. Vialli, Mancini, Lombardo and a few others.
