Gibson untouchable

For years now, we've seen experiment after experiment generally fail due to his management of the club.

Karanka - did so well, yet wasn't backed financially in the Premiership, certainly not properly anyway.

Sacked at a completely bizarre time and then replaced with a dodgy dealer.

I've supported my team for 30 years now, and with so many fans, he's untouchable.

A glorious chairman.

He pumps his own money in to the club, that's nice.

It's not really his money, its his businesses. I can tell you as a double business owner, that this doesn't really affect him personally, just his businesses.

I can't get my head round his absolutely baffling decisions anymore, this is the 3rd time we've had to get someone in in the last 20 years to save us from obscurity, this time - it looks like its probably too late.

I'd be happy if he sold the club.

Who to? Anyone at all?

Depends on what you feel is the greatest fear - an error ridden operation we currently have or a chance to get better.
To many they would rather stomach our decline and not change a thing

We are going backwards and something has to change to arrest that slide, be it by Gibson's hand or by a change in ownership.
We can clearly see that the squad isn't good enough and we know that we've had recruiting issues for years so it is understandable that fans will worry that things might not change much next season given the short turnaround.
If we don't improve the squad dramatically then we might not find 3 worse teams next season regardless of who is manager or owner.

I seriously can’t see any other club affording Gibbo the blind support he gets in some quarters of our support. The guy has been a disaster for years. Error after error, our stock as a club has not been as low for 30 years or so.

yet still the nodding dog syndrome applies to so many.No one is bigger than the club. Yet it appears many on here disagree.

we are a pathetic, pale shadow of the club we were. Yet some are happy to maintain this blind loyalty? Really?

I get our loyalty to Gibson - he did amazing things.

I do think its time for change.

No, we're not an attractive proposition for a consortium currently.

Well for a start he was largely responsible for making us the “great club” we once were, but for seconds, I don’t want success if it comes at the expense of worse things than being “fairly crap”.

I don't have 60 million quid but I know how to run a business. I think it's marrow minded to think that he's a football chairman deity.

We get that he made us great - no one has ever questioned that. But that was half a like time ago! How long is he given before his recent record is questioned and he is held to task?
