Glastonbury 2024 Headliners

Thom Yorke solo performance, Bauhaus and Slowthai? An interesting yet very controversial set of headliners.

(Some geographic creativity may be used here).
Are Bauhaus still going?

I'm for Sleaford Mods, a Billy Nomates Up Yours Glastonbury for Last Year Special, and Slade (original lineup).

I hear Coldplay don’t charge Glasto much which allows the festival to spend money on other big names that won’t do it without a big fee.

Madonna would be an incredible headliner if she got her house in order.

I'd like to see The Mode headline, they've been asked in for past and have always said they'd do it one day.
Looks unlikely now

There is a suspiciously "Glasto-shaped" hole in Springsteen's tour schedule, would fit with the comment I've read elsewhere that Glastonbury Festival have been "offered" a huge American star as a headliner. Which might explain the comments from EE that they are changing the headliners on a daily basis.

They are off touring Australia with The National
Wow, that's some lineup. I actually saw FF for the first time at All Points East a couple of years, The National headlining.

FF were absolutely incredible, and cemented my belief that there are few better bands of the last 15-20 years.

She's not a pleasant person. I know that from my daughter as she was a guest at the Cambridge Union and she was not only a diva but rude to the union members who had approached her as a guest, disrespectful to staff and security people and refused to allow some of the normal procedures of Q&A which had been agreed prior to the event.
you still would though wouldn't you?

I just think Coldplay, again, is a bit dull. There are numerous other bands/artists touring next summer who I'm sure could have been pursuaded.

But for the people complaining that they don't like the suggested lineup, this is the way its going and will only get worse. Once the likes of McCartney, Springsteen and the Stones pack it in for good there isn't much new music coming through to replace it. Give it 10 years and I would expect Glastonbury to be a pure pop/R&B festival, with the occasional appearance from the likes of Coldplay.

For what it's worth, I think Madonna would be ace.

To be honest, i reckon it will actually be Dua Lipa, Coldplay and Madonna. Madonna won't be 100% confirmed and they'll want to announce on their own terms.

Did anyone get tickets this morning?

(I'd forgotten it was taking place as I had decided not to try this year)
