Glastonbury 2024

View from the Ribbon Tower 2017, gives you some idea of how big Glastonbury is, if you look above the rainbow coloured tent in the right middle you can just make out the top of the Pyramid Stage.

Acts I'll make an effort to watch on the box... (even though I'm going to see some of them elsewhere or have seen them)

Dua Lipa, LCD Sound System, Little Simz, P j Harvey, Michael Kiwanuka, Idles, The National, The Streets, 2 Door CC, Bombay B C, The Last Dinner Party, Confidence Man, Steel Pulse, Sleaford Mods, Yard Act, Alvvays, Fat White Family, Kneecap, Fontaines DC, Aurora, Breeders, Dexys, Lankum, Baxter Dury, Mary Wallopers .... oh, and definitely Coldplay, because, whatever people might think, they are just the best band in the world at doing this sort of thing. I hope James and Johnny Marr are added. James must have just about the best "greatest hits" type set in their locker ... aside from maybe Crowded House and the aforementioned Dadrockers.

Not bad really. As good as most years I can remember.

***** me right off when people say “it’s not about the music, it’s the experience”. Jesus H. I’m sure that’s Glasto code for; ok it’s **** but I’m going to pretend I’m enjoying it anyway.

Coldplay are the worst band in the entire history of music. I actually hate them.
It’s really isn’t, I went in 05 and 07 and I would have had an amazing time if I hadn’t seen a band

Observing from afar, it doesn’t matter what the lineup is most people complain

I definitely reckon it'll be a Celtic/Hibs heavy crowd....although they really do cross communities, so who knows?

I love their message and political stance! Inspirational lads and no mistake.

Barras tickets in the bag
It's gonna be a bloodbath

Id be surprised if that goes agead. It would be carnage in what is not a massive area of the Festival.
It's baffling to me. They had huge congestion problems in the same area at the same time last year. Unless they have something else lined up of a similar magnitude elsewhere, why would they repeat that same mistake?

Yep they would need to have a few of the venues open. The site on Thursday night is 90% full and with nothing else on everybody will try and cram into that field. As you say baffling.
