Glover = Not good enough

That’s a problem for me. No leaders at all. At one stage today, an Ince, Pearson, Leadbitter would have got one or two players together a d made it abundantly clear, this is NOT good enough
Or someone who can make a tackle, or stop a cross or get remotely close to someone to stop a free shot.

Glover started quite well covering for Dieng but his weaknesses have been.well and truly exposed.

On the ball, he will generally play the easiest most obvious ball, is predictable and plays us into pressure. Dieng has a much better feel for when to play out.

Besides the Sunderland goal his shot stopping has generally decent but he doesn't hold as many shots as he should and doesn't put the ball out of the danger area when he doesn't, he's bobbled numerous saves into bad areas today

I don't know if you can point the finger at him for recent results but some of the clangers he's made are egregious and it's odd that he can start ahead of Dieng on form alone IMO

I can’t work out the number, who is that there?

Screenshot_2024-02-24-23-05-35-230_com.bskyb.sportnews.jpgAyling was out of position, as usual. Midfield all out of the game as no one covering. This meant RVDB had to engage the man on the ball, which he failed to do sufficiently. Paddy came across to cover the CF. Thomas has his man covered. Azaz left his runner free, the eventual goalscorer.

Can't say I recall any that were anything more than saves you would expect that even Lumley would have made, but I will subject myself to rewatching the highlights incase my memory is just fogged over from the overall ***** performance.
You're being unfair to prove a point.

I don't think he's good enough to start for us and also that he has cost us goals recently (even today)

But he also made a couple of fantastic saves including the wordlie reflex save he made when they almost went 3-0.

Thomas is already the wrong side of the attacker.

As in, the striker can see his shirt number

Glover seems to have a particular problem when diving to his left. He doesn’t seem strong enough. The first goal today perhaps should have been gathered but at the very least pushed away more strongly. The goal conceded against Sunderland was another example.
Decent point. All keepers have a favourite side, obvs the top keepers less so. But I tend to agree he’s stronger diving to his right.
