Good game of football.

I would have preferred something out of the game, obviously, but playing away to an in-form and recently relegated side makes it a game where losing isn’t a surprise.

Add to that 7 or 8 first team players out, or ineligible, conceding a penalty and then the sending off. That we almost got a point from this game is remarkable.

We need to stop conceding so many goals, for sure. But that starting back four have never played together before and none would have been first choice at the start of the season. Smith, Fry, Lenihan and Engel, seemingly preferred,

We’re not as potent as the post Christmas Boro of last season, but we’ve good players to return, a transfer window to use and still gave Leeds a good scare even with ten men.

Had Seny saved just one of the first two I think we'd have gone on to win it. Conceding twice so quickly made it a very uphill task.
I thought we played well for the most part and although playing out from the back is risky, we got it right most of the time. The commentators on the Leeds coverage complimented the way we did it a few times.

It would have been quite a result. I never felt we were out of it at any point tbh.

It is entertaining football, even if this playing it out from defence, and the tight passing, is heart stopping at times

I was sat with the Leeds fans and other than for that short period at 3-1 up, they were pretty tense throughout, even v 10 men. They certainly had a healthy respect for our attacking capabilities.

That first half in particular was bonkers, could've been 5-5 at half time alone.
