What a brilliant watch this was. It was great to see the WC winning side back together. Johnny Wilkinson seems like such a nice guy who is obsessed with the art of kicking, it was a joy to see.
It just highlighted though what is totally wrong with our justice / prison system. Something like 80% of the inmates on the show were in for drug offences. When you hear their back stories they have been totally let down by the system and ended up being involved in drugs just to make some money.
Imagine how much money we would save / lives we wouldn’t ruin / not need half as many prison places if we had a forward thinking Government with a progressing drugs policy? Why on earth are people in jail for cannabis crimes for example??
Another example where the Tories have failed society again.
