Did anyone else forget he played for us? lol. Don’t think iv ever heard his name mentioned by the club since the day Wilder walked in. We know he’s not going to fit Wilder’s centre back Style but he’s been completely frozen out. Struggles with injury but had a few decent games for us. Surprised he didn’t go out on loan unless he’s still not fit.

I’ve seen him training with other injured players and a physio (including on a match day) but I don’t know if he’s actually injured or just keeping up his fitness.

He was in the training video a couple of weeks back and had a bandage on his head. I guess Wilder doesn't fancy him, but he can play the middle CB role, especially when one of the usual 3 are out.

I know there was interest from Millwall in January, but it never came off. Also, his wife has just had a kid and she still lives down south.

I just think that Wilder doesnt rate him. He is behind the 1st choice 3 CBs and also behind Bamba & even Peltier. So 6th choice at best. I always thought that he was OK, not a bad player to have in your squad for times like this when games are coming thick & fast.

He was actually a bit better than I thought. When he came back from his injury to start last year, he was quite good for a while. This year, he was a bit rubbish, but I would have thought worthy of a place on the bench, competing with Bamba and Peltier. As said above, seems like he's behind those two in Wilder's view. Let's hope we can get him off the books in the summer, but that could well be 3 centre backs leaving all at once if we don't renew Bamba and Peltier's contracts, which is quite likely. If we get a decent bid for Paddy or Fry, another big area of the team that would need re-building along with strikers.

he's been in the match day squads every week

my guess is maybe a clause of some sort is triggered if he plays again and we want rid of him

I thought SB was here more with an eye towards helping with the coaching? Does he do any coaching?

Asked about in today's press conference.

Basically that he was injured for a bit, but he's back in the group now.

Doubt he'll feature as Wilder rarely changes the defenders without injuries forcing it, but he might pop up on the bench if Peltier or McNair pick up a booking tomorrow, that would be a 2 match ban for either.
