Haaland & KDB

Amazed that Haaland and KDB asked Pep to be subbed in the game last night as they couldnt continue. OK Haaland has been out of form but shocked that they asked to come off.

Massive game on top throughout and they want off the pitch.

Haaland is a flat track bully.
Whenever has he made an impact in a 'big' game?
To be fair to Haaland I think he's a victim of the way City play. The build up is so slow and teams just sit in against them them he's literally feeding off scraps in a congested box most of the time. What did he have to work with last night?

I think he would look miles better in Liverpool's team.

Could they have been injured, running on empty (Kev has been out a while) and they where honest putting team ahead of personnel goals

Until he steps up to take a pen?
That'll live with him forever. I just hope he doesn't become remembered for it. Despite all their talent, a lot of players get haunted by their worst moments on TV. Think Pearce, Beckham, Waddle, Zidane etc. Bernardo Silva had been a pleasure to watch over the years and he'll be missed when he leaves City.

Don't forget our very own Sir Gareth.
He even did a pizza hut advert having the p1ss taken out of him 🤦‍♂️

It wasn't actually that bad a penalty, 9 times out of 10 the keeper dives to one side, and the ball goes where the keeper was stood. The Madrid keeper was brave enough to just stand still, and Silva ends up looking daft.

I would agree with this, I hadn’t watched him consistently before he signed for city and what surprised me was his finishing isn’t as good as I had thought.
Not saying he’s a poor finisher but he misses quite a few chances. He gets into great positions so still scores a hatful, but against the best teams he may only get 1/2 half chances and doesn’t take them.

Agree Liverpools style would suit him, space to run into and probably create the sort of chances more suited to his play.

I don't think it's such a big thing anymore. There's been so many penalty shoot outs and so many misses that they tend to get forgotten about. He's a lengend at City so it won't impact his legacy there eaither.

Grealish was replaced by Doku, who in my opinion is far superior.

#UTB
Two totally different players and both bring different things to the game.
I actually think Guardiola brought Doku on at the right time.

He was running at tired legs. I think that would be something we could do with Jones if we had a fully fit squad. Forss start with the option of using Jones as an impact player to inject some fresh pace late on.
