One of the worst home debuts I think I’ve seen.

Hardly anyone came out of today with their heads held high but he was awful today.

3 apps. 6 goals conceded and 2 own goals so far.
 
To be fair no one came out of it well and as new defender you need to strike up a partnership how could he when his partners keep changing.
 
Yes he did overhit a few passes, but what I did like is the passes he did complete.
He doesnt look backwards and looks to get the ball moving, unlike our other centre backs.

Give him time an I think he will do well

Give the coaches time, they soon knock the forward passing out of him..... On a serious note, he’ll be good in the long run I reckon

He’s got all the physical attributes of a top centre half.

Problem is, he’s rubbish.
 
I think the fact he knocked about 5 passes out of play made his overall game look worse, but he hit a lovely ball through to Fletcher which we should have done better with. He does the nuts and bolts very well and he does keep trying to pass it, so got to give him credit for that.

We were just poor overall today.
 
He also provide last man cover as a central defender when George and the others went marauding forward. That’s what his primary role is after all.
