Hate the artist love the art

This feels like a very imbalanced seesaw. Maybe it's because those who become prominent are far more likely to be perused, accused and condemned, but I've rather despondently accepted that at some point almost anyone I've looked up or admired could disappoint or appal me.

On the flipside, when I met the comedian Adam Bloom I found him to be utterly lovely in every way, in spite of the fact that I found him to be about as funny as a dropped kebab.

Although to be fair that's still quite funny on reflection.

Haven’t seen him for years, but I thought he was really funny when I did see him.
