Have the police lost our trust?

Division??
I was brought up to respect the police, sometimes I didn’t and it cost me a bust nose or a bruised cheekbone, I deserved it I suppose for being disrespectful, if it was like it is today when I could have called them pigs/bacon breath or taken a recording of them on my phone, I would have had a field day, but then I might not have turned out the way I did with a decent career/family etc
