Absolutely this!! Great post. They've stepped up and really tried while our best players are pretty much all injured. They should be applauded off the pitch win of lose! The back up players are giving their all and deserve huge support , win or lose .
Normally I'd be hoping for a win(and of course I still am), but given the injury list and West Brom's position in the table it would be an excellent point if we can get one.Absolutely this!! MFC may have prepared their statement a week ago.Yeah it's strange on the ticket site looks close to a sell out in the home areas but boro said in their guide 28k tickets sold. So I imagine Westbrom numbers are really low
People might have been food shopping and making collections but yes last Saturday before Xmas was so poor turn out wise that they even sometimes played on a Friday night instead.I do remember that actually but maybe not so close to Christmas. You need nerves of steel to leave your Christmas shopping until the 23rd.
Also more on-line shopping nowadays?
And that was a top flight fixture - it’s worth remembering that we, and football in general, are in a golden period for attendances at the moment. Out historical average works out at just under 20000 so we are well above that at the moment - despite our relatively high prices in one of the poorest regions in the country, and the fact we are only in the second tier of English football we are doing pretty well in terms of footfall into the stadium I’d say. Not bad for a small town in YorkshireOur season low crowd in 1979 (below 12k I think) was a Friday night home game just before Xmas.
