Anyone else underwhelmed at what they've seen from him so far?

I can't decide if it's partly down to him not playing in a great side and having to play wing-back, but I expected so much more from him.

He's definitely played in a better side.

A lot of step overs but not much end product. Definitely a player somewhere in him.

I think the 'little end product' is about standard for wingers these days.

I've by no means wrote him off. He's been stop / start with injuries. Just somes us up really.

Actually better at defending than attacking. Creates zilch. We love turning attacking midfielders into defenders.

What footed is he? Left? Right? Both? Or none?

He loves that little drop of the shoulder but rarely seems to beat his man and go anywhere.

He is right footed , and we play him on the left ?
Consequently he comes back in on his right every time.
ACM or RW and we may get the best out of him , LW is not his position

Yeah was thinking he’s a strange one. Can tell there’s a good player in there, but doesn’t impact games much.

If you watched a few of our games and had to pick the international winger on loan from a Premier League club between him and Isiah Jones, which would you go for?

I think he's a good player but being asked to play left wing back is madness really. Firstly, he has very little in his defensive game, secondly he's cutting inside leaving the wing exposed every time (or attacking on his weaker). If that wasn't bad enough he had Paddy at LCB who was also cutting inside on every opportunity.

Jones last night was the best Boro player on the pitch by a country mile.

He's proven championship level, a very good player in my opinion. Either as an outright winger or left of a front 3.

But of course, we're playing him as a wing back

Shock.

he puts plenty of effort in, but his attacking qualities are yet to really shine. I think there is more to come from him though. I can understand why Norwich made him available for loan because he looks a decent champ player but nowhere near a prem player

I like him.

I think he'd shine under a more attacking style, he's played half his games here at wing-back.

Same as playing Tav on the right always looking to come back onto his left both are wasted as wing backs.
