I reckon that our game against Chelsea will be on the 9th ( the Tuesday ) as Liverpool have a game on the 7th whilst Chelsea play on the 6th .
 
I wonder will Carrick be tempted to play a reserve team against Villa, if we're still struggling with injuries.

Or could he risk getting a knock on his office door by Mr Gibson if he did so and we went out.

Our second string team are pretty much playing now. It would have to be made up of under 21/18s
 
I'm desperate for it to be Tuesday as I'm away from the Wednesday and have a 100% record attendance in the Cup lol

Highly likely that both games will be on the Tuesday because as stated by others, Liverpool have games on both Sundays so should be playing their games on the Wednesday.

I hope so,basing all my plans for both Tuesdays. An option I hadn't considered. Thanks for that!!! :ROFLMAO:

Millwall game now fixed and would have to move the Birmingham game to Sunday which is unlikely, but you never know with Sky
That said it's 4th round FA cup weekend and Boro and Birmingham could both be involved, but by then league cup dated sorted.

My Villa supporting friend says that they have not won a 3rd round fixture for years. With the season they are having and their focus on the league and Europe, I would imagine that they will send out a team of kids. It may be our under 18s against theirs.

You'd think they'd see it as a great opportunity to win a cup, considering how well their squad is performing.

It's a long time for a big club like Villa to go without winning a cup.
