How many days annual leave do you get?

Does it feel like enough?

24 for me, plus bank holidays.
I have to save 3 or 4 days for the Christmas break out of the 24.

Feel like I could do with another 24 😭

NHS so while the pay isn't great for everyone at least the leave is decent. Everyone gets bank holidays plus 27 rising to 29 for 5 years and 33 for 10. Extra bonus day for birthday as well.

Should be the standard for everyone.

25 normally + bank holidays. Been fortunate this year, carried some and had 32 in total. I started leave this week and don't go back till the 6th September.

I work in education and so like all full-time teachers I work 195 days per year. But have zero say in when my holidays are.

Edit: that is 39 5-day weeks out of 52.

What do you do, thats a lot of leave?

i wont say what i do - i work a 34 hour week - i work in a major UK city - i get 27 days holiday, plus 8 bank holidays and any variables, plus 4 of those i get the following day off, i get a day off a month for being up to step with my work load and we close down for a minimum of a week over xmass/new year for which i dont require any leave. - i also get an additional days leave because i dont smoke whilst at work, we have a staff charabang 1 day a year all paid for and we have a section christmass dinner/party, and a full xmass party for all staff, suppliers, lawyers, maintainers and such like

i dont work nights or weekends..

its really not a lot of leave - my employer benefits because the workforce is fresh and motivated...very few leave and when they do its usually due to a retirement.

Dont be fooled by the race to the bottom that employers are trying to impose - hold your ground and fight your collective corner, dont be side-tracked by simpletons, let them spout off, whilst you carry on fighting the good fight .

stay true to yourself and your good workmates.

28 days leave
The usual bank Holidays
5 mental health days which are like use-anytime Holidays
Plus the usual 5 days buy option. Or carry 5 over

Contractor so as many as I want, but as few also. I have taken 40 days in a good year and in bad years (the last 3 with wife's treatment cycles) less than 15 to boost savings and investments so I can retire March 2024 and we can do some stuff whilst we are still relatively capable.

Used to be 30 days plus 8 bank holidays, but we’ve just moved to an unlimited leave policy!
