How much is Marcus Rashford worth?

After he burst onto the scene I don’t really think he’s set the world alight. Doesn’t seem that consistent.

The man United valuation (120m) is way off for me and even the juve (60m) one feels more than double what he’s worth.

Current form I’d put him at 20 million tops

What do you think he’s worth?

He's worth a lot to Manchester United by don't of being a marketable local lad.

I think he's a really good player and if he leaves we'll see that. Nobody looks good there at the moment, the club is a shambles.

Yeah, good point.

Transfer fees are so mad now I can't understand them. Post-Neymar, the whole thing stopped making what limited sense it ever did.

Yes but answer the question what value do you put on really good ? I just can’t fathom the 120 million?

Depends on how desperate the buying club are, Barca bought Dembele for £110 million, who is also exceptional on his day but hit and miss and highly inconsistent along with recurring niggly injuries.

However Gabriel Jesus was £45 million who in the last couple of years you’d argue was more productive. Though on Rashford best days he’s better than Jesus best days. If he went id expect it to be about £45-50 million with another £20-25 million in add ons because of that inconsistency.

When Jack Grealish is £117Million & Harry Maguire is £80Million - then its not unreasonable to be asking £120Million for Marcus Rashford.

is he worth that ?- of course he's not - but english premiership football clubs have got themselves in a bit of a pickle around transfer fees & wages

Both went for those prices on the back of excellent seasons where they were key to their teams.

Rashford hasn't been good for about 2 years now.

If 120m is paid that would be up there with the 35million Liverpool paid for Andy Carroll as one of the worst bits of business ever.
I think Rashford will never reach his previous heights but happy to be proved wrong!

He seems to have fallen from his dizzy heights following his involvement with the school meals issue. It appears to me that the sojourn into the political field (commendable as it was) may have distracted him from his football.
Current value = £30M as the right coach and team might get him back on track, the wrong choice and he goes down the Deli Alli cul-de-sac of hope. At £30M, a gamble worth taking for a club beneath the top 6, much more and it is getting into Ashley Fletcher territory ( relatively speaking that is).

I remember seeing him very close up at Old Trafford during Karanka’s season in the Prem, a Man U fan I know let us borrow his tickets so we were down near the pitch on the wing. He came on as sub after Leadbitter had scored and absolutely tortured our defence (and me watching), completely changed the game

I had a bit of a not that impressed view about him until that match, but he turned me round in 15 minutes. In the right set up he can play let there be no doubt about that.

I’ve been saying for years that Rashford is fast, that’s it. He tries to beat players when he should pass, he absolutely loves steaming in from the left and blazing one into the stands and he’s done that consistently since the first time I saw him.

If he wasn’t at Man Utd he’d be viewed the same as Nathan Redmond. He’s alright but nothing special by any means.

Nothing more than 20 million but they will get 3x that for him no doubt in this market

I would agree with those saying he should leave Manchester United. Nobody looks good in that team at the moment and haven’t for awhile.
How much is he worth? Probably more to Manchester United that other teams would be willing to pay.

He’s a good player but he needs to leave man united, I think if he were to stay in the PL he would really suit Arsenal or spurs. Possibly go to the bundesliga or even someone like Rangers.

To be honest I haven’t seen anything in the past 18 months that would make me think he is worth more than £5m. In fact, if he doesn’t get his act together he could end up at Wigan 😁

It’s a really good question.

He’s 24 now, so you’re buying potential but not much of it. You’d think a pacey forward would have his best years between 24 and 28.

He showed fantastic raw talent but two poor seasons in a very poor team, due to the madness around United and accommodating other players as much as his own poor form. Lost his place, rightfully, in the England squad. Doesn’t look like the gamechanger he once was and seems to have stopped developing - but everyone’s been shocking at United for two years.

There’s a fantastic player in there. Marketing-wise he’s worth a fortune as he’s a great young man, like others said probably worth more to United than anyone else as a homegrown lad.

I think talent-wise he’s about on a par with Jadon Sancho, who I thought was overpriced and has also gone right backwards for the same reasons at United.

Wages might dictate the fee - I think top players who clubs don’t want to sell will still command massive fees, but if the player wants to go and the club wants rid, they make such a massive saving on getting the wages off the bill that transfer fees can seem low compared to the quality of the player. Gabriel Jesus for 40m and Grealish for 100m are great examples - they’re both probs on 200k a week, and about as good as each other. Dele Alli went on a virtual free because of his wages. Saido Mane went very cheap.

35m-40m?
