How was your Strava year

Just over 5,000 miles with 230,000 feet of climbing. Same as Molteni, I'm going to try to do more next year, particularly carry on ticking off Paul Christon's best climbs of the area. Oh god, the Chimney beckons, I last did that aged 32 and now I'm double that.

Another one who has had a dreadful year, probably my worst since since 2009. Combination of a 6 month old baby, and totally losing my drive.

Going to try and get out on the gravel bike tomorrow for the first time in about 5 months, to build up for a reset in 2022.

Had to slow down a bit this year as I have Arthritis in both hips which is quite bad now in one of them, so don't run as much I can't really run on successive days so started to cycle to cross train.

Cycling 3,403.5 miles
210,561 ft Elevation
Running - 782.6 mile
- 239,337 ft Elevation

Probably over the next year I will have to gradually reduce the running but hopefully up the cycling, as the hips are not too bad with the cycling. I love running in the mountains, but it is just getting too hard to do now, maybe when get a new hip or two I will be grand again!

I'm attempting the Yorkshire Beast in June, one of the many climbs is Rosedale Chimney... Never done that one before but will recce it at some point in March / April.

I walked up it in the summer as part of the Rosedale circular walk. I was puffed out just watching a young lad ride up it. Mind you, he looked about 40 years younger than me.
