Great stuff from Chuba Akpom tonight

“I AM THAT GUY!” Screaming it to the upper West Stand

A boro legend?
The man to push us to promotion?

or something else?
our premier league striker for next season?
the 20+ goal scorer that we’ve never had?

Whatever it meant.. get the contract signed Gibbo! Double the wage! Treble it with promotion! 3 year deal easy
 
Aimed at the Hull directors box, I believe. One of his old clubs and I think it must have ended acrimoniously judging by his reaction towards them.

Although, I do hope it was aimed at the Boro side of the directors box and it was to be interpreted as “I’m staying, get the contract out”.

Hasn't ownership changed at Hull since he played for them though? But yes it did seem more aimed at their side of the directors box.
 
It was aimed at the Hull side of the Director box and folks around me were saying he said “I’m that guy!”

I heard “I’m staying here”

I recall an interview he gave where he said he had just bought a house and then found out he was free to leave Boro. I think he's put down roots so he would want to stay if he can. His transformation has been remarkable and he deserves a chance in the Premier League if we get there this season, and if not, we will want his talent to stay to help us go for automatic promotion next season.

I wasn't his biggest fan when he signed, but I was wrong. Since moving into his new role under Carrick, he's like a man possessed and I'm glad we have him rather than having to face him.

I thought he had no place to live last summer and he was staying with Uche while they were both not going on pre-season and were free to find another club.

Stayed with Uche for a month as far as I know, no longer than that.
