Spot on our left was a constant opening for them yesterday. To be fair to clarke he seem to take a knock in the first half which seemed to slow him. Best get rvd back in as the left side centre back better still we should buy a decent left back
 
Neither Fry or Clarke should be at CB when all our defenders are fit.

Clarke isn't good enough and Fry's form has fell off a cliff. He's been poor for a long time now.

Rav VDB and one of Lenihan/McNair. Fry and Clarke are ok as back up.

As a combination engel at left back and clarke as covering left centre back is never going to work theres simply not enough pace and mobility there we will get tortured.
Engel has looked better in the last few games with rvb at left centreback covering his short comings

Lenihan is really poor he sould be vying for fourth centreback slot with clarke

People buzz about his one off man of the match performances and think he’s class even though he gets bullied pretty much every game. He’s part of the problem.

I won’t. Fry has been here his whole career. My judgement has been made over a period of time. He will have the odd excellent game and we will all get carried away and then he will revert to type with his weakness and getting bullied.

VDB is a class act.
 
I actually prefer Clarke over fry, I seen someone once describe Fry as " when he first came into the team he played like a young lad with a lot of potential, he still plays like a young lad with a lot of potential " and I couldn't have put it better myself.

Regardless of clarke vs fry vs lenihan vs McNair its the lack of quality of our fullbacks which cost us the game yesterday and will continue to do so thats the elephant in the room no one seems to want to address
