I have Covid again and feel shocking!

I think we all need to be careful still and watch what we are doing. It is so easy to let your guard down and think it is a thing of the past.

As Sherlock1969 said in the holiday thread, Covid is still preventing travel for the CEV amongst us.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

Took a test yesterday as felt sh*te, fortunately it was negative. Hope you’re feeling better soon fella.

I said only a couple of weeks ago that I've not heard of anyone having covid for ages, then a week later, 4 friends all down with it!

Yes, I had the old CV19 a few weeks ago and it hit me harder than when I had it first (pre-vaccine) that said the worst symptoms this time was streaming eyes and buckets of snot, no loss of sense of smell though, hardly life threatening (for me anyway) but it did mean I had to keep away from immuno-compromised family members.

Get well soon.

First time for me was the worst last Feb (post 2nd vaccine), and then i got it again the exact same week in Feb this year (post 3rd vaccine), 2nd time was still pretty rough, but that first bout in 2022 absolutely floored me.

Both time it was mainly the constant banging headache, like the worst migraine I've ever had x10 and for a week!

It's weird how it can affect different people so differently. This time my wife didn't catch it at all. First time we both had it, I felt a little "off colour" low on energy and I lost my sense of smell, her in doors was virtually bed ridden for four weeks.

Definitely a very trivial concern when it's compared to other people's issues with it, but I have noticed that I've barely been able to taste garlic for the last few years since I had Covid.

Could be unlinked, as it was a fairly mild case when I did have it, but it's such a strong tasting thing that I can now barely detect.

Garlic bread just tastes like bread.

I have never had covid, despite all my family gettng it. I feel a little left out. I do get athletes foot a lot.

We've all had it in this house, me, wife and 2 kids, all at different times, and never at the same time all different months etc, not sure how we didn't spread it around in the house as we didn't really distance as much as we probably should have? Weird!

You probably have had it but been one of the lucky few who don't get any symptoms when you do get it.
Maybe, I was testing when my wife and daughter were positive and continued to test negative. As I recall lf tests were good at picking up when you were infectious only. So may still have had it but a mild dose.

Hope you feel better soon Bri.

Does anyone know if there is a plan to offer an annual booster like the flu jab to groups who are not considered at risk?

I'd happily pay for it like i do with the flu jab each year but that doesn't seem to be an option currently.

Looks like the boosters are going to be only for the 75+ age group like they did for the current spring boost.

Our company is seriously looking at ways of getting g them done private as every week there is someone off with it.
