It's already happened in League One.

Wigan with an 8 point deduction, they're comfortably mid-table.

Reading with a 6 point deduction are 10 points clear of relegation.

Though there's obviously a bit more depth and opportunity to escape with 24 teams.

Sorry should re-phrase that any team in the PL with 2 points deductions for a club in Evertons state to stay up would be mad. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if they got more off next season as well.

This just popped into my YouTube stream. It's a Chelsea fan filming the "discussions" between Madueke and Jackson before Palmer takes the penalty

It's more embarrassing than the Sky footage because you see them still behaving like five year olds even after Gallagher (Capt.) has told them Palmer is taking the spot kick. Jackson is down on his haunches as Palmer runs up to shoot and Madueke is yards away from the area sulking. "Our host" thinks that Madueke should have taken it but the comments from other Chelsea fans make him appear to be very much in a minority.
