I see sheff wed got 2,600 tickets for Sunderland away

Must see no potential for trouble, despite the fact that Wednesday could be relegated, and all Sunderland fans are not going to really wind them up if it happens because they have totally forgiven Wednesday for those two fans who mocked Bradley Lowery earlier in the season. Yep I can see no potential for mayhem.
 
No reason why they couldn't give us 2600.
Perhaps they will next season in order to get more for their fans at the Riverside.
I'm sure they gave us over 2800 in the prem.
 
The @3000 Villa fans at Lille were sat in a upper tier, they had a net in front of them, that would be perfect for away fans at SOL, it stops the odd nutter throwing objects on the Mackem families underneath. Three thousand away fans could become a regular feature again.

I'm not even sure Boro fans have ever thrown anything at the SOL. Coventry and Portsmouth have, I think.
 
I like to think we wouldn't throw something but I have followed us too long to know that it's very likely we would. I work with a mag who used to be a season ticket holder, his seat was under the away seats, he hates Boro because when they played us once some one threw down a seat which hit someone near him. I don't see it down here in the south when we play it's a different crowd, more groups of 3 or 4 people, families and couples who are out for a good laugh and the footie, go further up north and it just isn't the profile of the fans that changes a little bit, but it's more bigger groups of lads who might push each other a bit further.
 
Sheff Wednesday have fans all over the South Yorkshire area who like the Boro fans like a day out - over 6,000 at Blackburn today. They would have wanted more than 2,600 for Sunderland away. They are fairly harmless in general even the dark days of the 1980s they were not be trouble causers.

I can't understand how Sunderland and the local Police can't cope with 3,000 away fans in a 49,000 Stadium.
