If things stay the same...

With no business today and Wilder seemingly stating a different position is being targeted after every interview, surely he can't be happy with the squad that's left?

He may well do what he did at Sheff U and leave as the club and him couldnt agree over targets, however th club have beought 10 + players in, how many of them are Wilder and how many are club sgnings is quite an open subect!

What I would say is the club have known what was required all summer and if they dont get players in, in the areas promised to Wilder, yet again the recruitment team for all the changes is still very poor or maybe tough in how they do business when purchasing but rather gulerable when selling!

I can't believe Wilder does not have say over the players coming in. Think he'd have gone already if that was the case.
Surely Wilder liaises with the recruiting team to identify club targets, it’s not as if we are Man City who can buy Haaland and say to Pep, here see what you can do with him.

Having had all summer I cannot believe - as it stands - we have left ourselves short in midfield, the engine room of the team. It is inexcusable. Pathetic.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Wilder take a Premier League job this season when one of the lower, struggling teams jettison their manager.

We loaned out payero yes loaned out a quick versatile U 23 mf

Madness

We were short a DM last season, since then we have lost 2 and brought in 1, and that’s Mowatt who is only on loan

Next season we will still need 2 strikers, 3 midfielders and a left wing back

It’s a bit of a shambles isn’t it?

If it stays like this he may hand in his resignation.Squad to thin we can't expect to compete for promotion with such a thin squad.some good signings made but not enough quality and if muniz was to pick up an injury I'd dread to think, players like hoppe not ready and we needed players ready for the first team and that in itself is poor again the recruitment team has let us down .What has the director of football done since he has come in as again no improvement.

We've improved GK, Defence, wing backs and possibly up front. We are light in midfield but maybe it's an opportunity for Hackney, Gibson.
We did a lot of good early business and the end has been disappointing but I wouldn't call it a shambles.

May need to look at our of contract players.Players we should have gone for like Simms ,now we end up in a desperate situation.
