Inside No 9

Anyone watched them all?
I really enjoy it, even though not all episodes hit the mark.

Some hilarious episodes, some creepy and disturbing ones, some poignant ones, some boring ones. And some I just don't get. All very cleverly done though.

I've watched them all. The last series was back to their best. a couple before that were a bit dull. The last one "The Last Weekend" was just superb.

Shearsmith and Pemberton are a great writing partnership with incredible imagination and ability to write anything ranging from comedy and mystery to creepy. I really liked all the Inside No. 9 series, as I did Royston Vasey.

I pretty much agree with that.
I think my favourite episode of all was S1, Ep2 - "A Quiet Night In" with Denis Lawson.

I've watched them all - I would genuinely put myself in contention for the title of "biggest League of Gentlemen fan in the world" and would have it as my Mastermind subject. Inside No. 9 is hit or miss, due to its nature, but even their misses are pretty good, and the hits are remarkable.

Along with Bob & Paul's fishing, it is up there with the BBCs best work.

Definitely Marmite comedy, I love it, Along with League of Gentlemen etc.

I've just got into it properly after catching a few through the years and getting into the latest series. Have started watching from the beginning. Some real gems in there, like 12 Days of Christine, A Quiet Night In and La Couchette (IIRC) about the sleeper train compartment.

Also good to see Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror back on Netflix.

The episode with the crossword was a really good idea, considering the Guardian crossword that the character was trying to complete was the crossword that appeared in the Guardian on the same day the episode aired (which gave some viewers the added surprise of having realised that they’d done that crossword themselves earlier that day). I’m pretty sure that Steve Pemberton, with him being a keen crossworder, was allowed to create the crossword for the Guardian himself.

*apologies for the overuse of ‘crossword’. 😬

I'm a big fan of inside No9. As previously stated, La Couchette and Quiet Night In are amazing, so funny but as always with a twist.
The dark ones can be very dark. I remember watching one with Sheridan Smith in it and I swore I would never watch it again. Had just lost my Mam which didn't help, but it was so dark it didn't just freak me out, I was an emotional wreck.

That was 12 Days of Christine

12 days, quiet night and the Halloween episode are fantastic. Timing the Halloween tweet to go out on time was a masterstroke. Brilliant tv.
