Sunrisers Hyderabad score 167 for 0 in reply to win in less than 10 overs! How many would they have scored in 20? :eek:
 
I haven't watched any of it this year but have seen reports of record scores, run chases, etc. Has something changed?
 
Impact player rule, flatter pitches and just generally players better at clearing the ropes along with more aggressive tactics. As little as 5 years ago some teams deemed 170 to be a decent score; that might not see you defend for 15 overs now.

Looking forward to the world cup in June, once the group stage is out of the way, anyway.
 
I’m looking forward to a slow turning T20 World Cup where 130 will be a decent score and never thought I would say that. The IPL has become a batting circus.

The small grounds might have something to say about that though.
 
It’s always been in my bucket list to go to a top baseball game in the USA. I suppose the nearest imitation is IPL.
 
Knowing lots of people who have done both- the supporter experience for an IPL is leagues ahead of a baseball game (and cheaper to boot)

I watched the Blue Jays the other week. At the site of Wrestlemania 6. Best bit was me and the bairns were allowed to run the bases after the match!
