Is Ingleby Barwick a 'town'?

I can see it is referred to as one of Stockton's 'Six Towns' now.

I'm not convinced Norton's a town either me like, more like a big village or big suburb.

I fully accept Stockton, Yarm, Thorn Abbey and Billog as towns.

I can actually now see it acquired town status in 2007. I am not aware of it having a 'town centre' however.

Why is Wynyard not a town then? I imagine its the next one on the list.

Getting into 25.000 people living there. 4 pubs 2 secondary schools, 8 primary schools a golf course, swimming pool, Tesco store 6 parks and the second safest small town on North Yorkshire - and regularly the green eyed monster for many on here who aspire to but never achieve the utopia of that TS17 postcode 😋

Pretty **** town if only 4 pubs are there! 😀

Norton is a village and it's MY village so if anyone says anything bad about it on this thread I'm going to get really, really cross.
