Isaiah Jones

Most impressive thing for me, can have all the pace and trickery in the world but end of the day it’s about end product at pivotal times. He showed great composure. Big moment for the lad.

Wasn't it great to feel excited about a player again? To see someone run at defenders, head up, looking for others, looking for space, cutting in, moving the ball well. Hope it keeps it up and he'll be special for sure!

He was playing peekaboo with them, because he had a mask on the Fulham players couldn't see him! Every now and then he would take the ball and shout Boo! 😁

Looked very impressive, quick and with a trick, but a lot of young players have that in their armoury, what set him apart for me was his awareness, movement, body shape and use of the ball, I accept it’s a fleeting cameo but when he has those skills in his locker and is developing as quickly as he is it’s hard not to get excited about him, hopefully we’ll handle him well and he’ll keep grounded and we could have an unearthed another non-league gem.

Exactly. His awareness was spot on. He played with his head up, which may be an obvious thing to say, but so many players don't and as a consequence run into blind alleys or give away the ball cheaply. He had their full back on toast and they soon doubled up and him and they still couldn't get near him.

Imagine how many fouls he's going to draw this season?

Agree very much about keeping his feet on the ground and develop him but isn't it exciting to get out of your seat again when a player runs with the ball and tries to make things happen?!

He was excellent a total surprise.👍 Although when he first got up with the mask on I thought Christ almighty we’ve had some wooden legs upfront lately but bringing R2D2 out of retirement takes the biscuit!

I can't remember who it was against but he came off the bench late on in a cup game away from home last season. He was only on a matter of minutes but I remember instantly liking the look of him. Quick, tricky and very direct. He's done his loan spell last season at QOS and excelled by all accounts so for me he's earned his place in the first team squad this season.
