Hopefully not too far off now but when he returns do we go back to 4 at the back or stick to the 5 at the back which has worked last 3 matches since Carrick switched it. If we play 5 at the back which position does Jones play. Does he play wingback instead of Ayling or does he play front 3.
 
I think if Jones is coming in for Ayling then there’s barely any difference between the current system, and how we usually play… certainly when in possession anyway. Think Carrick has said this too
 
I really like Jones as a wingback, even if he's having one of those off days attacking it still lets him make a big contribution. If we stick with this formation I'd love to see him come in for Ayling, also means we don't have the Forss or Jones problem to solve. That said, expect his yellow card count to start shooting up if that happens...
 
I'd love to see Jones at wing back, I think he played his best football for us there but it would be harsh to drop Ayling after his last few games.
 
Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a good chunk of game time on Saturday, obviously depending on how the game is going.

Ayling has worked his bollox off the last three games, looked knackered towards the end last night.
