It appears The Sun’s claims

& no defence for that & others ....but daily mirror hacked etc too, they all do

Should they not have reported this after fam went to BBC?
Why should they? He hadn't done anything illegal and they had an internal procedure to go through with their employee they can't act on hearsay simply to placate angry shout at cloud guy

..and stop with the whataboutary, not every newspaoer hacks, only the right wing red tops.

No, based on what we currently know, I would say they shouldn't. Do you think someone should have their career and life destroyed because they had an affair or exchanged some messages on Grindr or whatever?

I mean his personal relationship with his family and his wife is one thing, but it's feck all to do with me.

Its amazing that some of those trying to destroy him (Dan Wooton / Rod Little) have very unsavoury pasts and twitter is awash with their back history which is quite frankly awful.
Yeah quite, was just having a similar conversation with the Mrs, like I am sure no tabloid journo ever had ever had an affair or, idk used onlyfans or exchanged messaged on grindr/tindr they perhaps shouldn't of ... I am sure they are all pure as the driven snow

I agree in this case and given his fragile mental state the press intrusion feels uncomfortable.
Would we feel its nothing to do with us if it was rees mogg who was caught. At some point if someone pontificates about family values, being a Christian etc from public office and they act entirely differently then intrusion i think is justified but not this case of hew

I mean if you spend your time judging everyone else from his pulpit I think you can expect it back on you if you are then found guilty of similar transgressions ... Probably in that case fair game to criticise, but even then I wouldn't think it should be something that should ruin his life or career

Rodent Liddle was on newsnight last night shouting over every other guest and making a t*t of himself while bending over backwards to defend the Sun. I can understand why they give these RW ‘alternative view’ gobshites a slot, but it never ceases to amaze me when they give them the most airtime and allow them to dominate proceedings with their complete drivel.

* Rodent was a genuine autocorrect of a mistyped Rodney, but i think it’s the most accurate autocorrect I’ve ever had.

Why is Liddle still being given a platform on the beeb? A couple of his articles from the spectator and guardian regarding children are doing the rounds on social media at the minute. Really repulsive stuff.

Liddle actually said The Sun had behaved "impeccably". After a job Rod you nobber.?

And congrats on making a snippet of the news here in NZ although have to tell you the context wasn't complimentary.
Rod already writes for the S*n.

He once wrote an article claiming he could never be a teacher, because he couldn't imagine not wanting to have sex with his pupils.

...yeah.

You mean like so many people on this forum were baying for Leon Brittan’s blood when Tom Watson and Carl Beech made claims about him that turned out to be untrue?

This board hasn’t changed one bit, it’s as two faced and as hypocritical as ever. Cheerio.

Both wrong - lets just be fair

And for those talking about morality……
Its all a bit personal and judgemental isn’t it?

My partner is a psycho sexual therapist and meets people who are into all sorts of things. None of them illegal but…. many of them different and one or two some I’d never heard of.

Are we really saying people playing out legal sexual fantasies are immoral?

He already is a columnist for both the Sun and Sunday Times

Shouldn't that be 'psychosexual'? ;)

Apparently our friend Rod Liddle was wheeled out defending the sun… someone has tweeted this article from him in 2012…
I guess he did the world a favour by not becoming a teacher…🤷🏼‍♂️ IMG_3320.jpeg
