it's not all over

It's a nice way of looking at things but the way our squad is looking at the minute you have to wonder where wins are going to come from. Izzy came off limping today to add to the injury concerns!

Finish the season strong, blood some of the academy players and re-build during the summer, get everyone back fit and go again next season, this season will of been a valuable learning curve especially for Carrick.

I really fancy us next season with the right additions to the squad!!

Whilst there is a possibility of the playoffs no club would play the academy players. It makes no sense at all.

Until it becomes mathematically impossible we might as well hope that it happens, but we are literally going to have to win all 7 remaining games to have a chance, and even then it might not be enough.

Norwich are in excellent form. Their only recent defeat was against us, and let's be honest, they'd have gone on to win that game comfortably had it not been for the sending off.

There’s a lot of ifs and buts there OP.

The biggest one is us consistently winning whilst others slipping up. I can’t see it.

I’d say if we managed to win 6 of the last 7 and draw the other game we would get in. Highly doubt that will happen. It’s the home games that worry me.

I won’t give up on it just yet though as unlikely as it is. If we lose another single game it’s 100 percent done for me.

I said after Brum we needed to win 8 out of 9, we can’t now. Both Coventry and Norwich probably can’t be caught by us now and I suspect Preston will finish above us, we could catch Hull if we win there. All in all probably a below par season as I imagine the target was at least a play off place.

I think it's going to be really difficult for us to finish above Norwich. We can only get 76 points maximum.

They're only going to need to take 12 points from a possible 21. They have to play Leicester and Ipswich but their other 5 games look very winnable.
