Jimmy Bullard

He’d definitely get chinned each weekend on the town on a regular basis if his character was the same had he not made it as a footballer .
A face you’d pay money to punch .

I don't really listen to or watch all the stuff Peter Crouch is involved in but yeah his name does seem to pop up everywhere at the moment. Seems a decent bloke though and not as OTT or try-hard as 'The Bulldog'...
I guess it's partly because I always think back to reading a story about him having an affair with a young prostitute. He seemed at one time to be one of the players who got caught up in living the "jack the lad" lifestyle but in fairness he was young, had money and probably regrets it now.

Crouch is funny but beyond awkward when put in front of a camera and trying to present a show. But his podcast can be hilarious at times when he’s just being himself.

Bullard is quite funny if terms of the banter. It supposed to be supplied in short spurts. When it’s full all the time it becomes very annoying

Bullard is a middle-aged man trying to act and dress like a young teenager and I just find him cringeworthy and awkward to watch. His humour is of a person who wants desperately to be “the funny one” but just tries too hard and then gets spiteful and nasty when others disagree.

know a couple of lads who have played with Bullard, seems like his heart is in the right place and is a nice lad but he's absolutely full on all the time. I think he has ADHD too doesn't he?

Crouchy is a lovely bloke, won't have a bad word said against him. Used to work in footy and he's one of the best people I met.

I was on a stag do at Butlins in Bognor on a glorious weekend in 2009. At this point Bullard was Hull's record signing, I think, and out injured with a serious injury.

He was topless in the bar and then outside in goal with a bunch of people lined up taking penalties against him, he had a vodka and coke or something in his hand whilst trying to save them!

I remember thinking if Hull had any idea about this they would be livid! Luckily for him, I think it was just before social media was in full swing. I don't think he'd have got away with it these days!

Seemed like one of the lads tho, rather than a big time Charlie.

God forbid someone has a bit of personality and likes to have a laugh. Seems harmless and if you're bothered by what he wears probably says more about you than him.

Not the best player ever and nor is he the best presenter but he always has a smile on his face and tries to make people laugh. Good luck to the bloke wish there was a few more characters like him left in football.

I never said I was bothered by what he was or wasn't wearing and ended my post by saying he seemed like one of the lads and not a big time Charlie.

However, like I said, I can't see his employer being too happy with him having a kick about whilst getting ***ed up, when he hadn't kicked a ball for them in months due to serious injury.

I’ve played against him a couple of times. He set up a team in our division which he used to play for on Saturdays before he started the soccer am thing. His team is the One Bell which is a pub in Crayford that he bought for his mum.

yes he might be a pain but he looks after his old mum so he’s alright by me. I can think of a lot of tv ersonalities who make my skin crawl before I’d get to him!

mates with a lad who played with him at wiggan reserves and he had to retire early, bullard helped him out a lot getting his business up and running.

Like I say seems like a nice bloke, I just don't think I could handle a night out with him.

Really like them both. Never come into contact with them personally, but loved how they played the game and had a bit of fun, and like what they've done since retiring. Love Crouchy's podcast and Bullard is always good for a laugh on Soccer AM.
