JLS. Opinions

Fairly poor. Would play Payero in the next game.
He might have to start both as I assume Howson will be the next square peg to play right back, unless Tav is taking over the position permanently?

So we've pretty much ran out of centre mids and fullbacks before the end of September.

Hopefully McNair and Bola will be back soonish.

Has Warnock mentioned either of their injury lay offs? Are they expected back imminently?

I'm fully expecting Bola to be back next week if he's already back in training.

It'll be Bola on the left, Peltier on the right.

Payero should be coming in though, he showed more in 15 minutes than Siliki had all match.
Still expect that Siliki will come good, but he's well off the pace and he shouldn't be unstoppable.

He has the ability to play a lovely 30 yard ball but he’s also capable of misplacing a 5 yard simple pass.

I think he will come good if perceived with.

I didn't fully understand where he was playing, I assumed in a two with Howson, but as you say he spent a lot of the game further ahead than Crooks harrying and pressing.
I couldn't decide if that was down to indiscipline, managers' instructions or just that he was a little too eager to make an impression to be honest.

Clearly talented but you can tell he has been caught out by the speed of the game here. He does something great and then 30 seconds later misplaces an easy pass.
This.

You can see (if you want to) that he is trying to play creatively. At the moment he is taking a moment or two too long and he is being closed down before the ball is played or his pass is cut out. As mentioned he is not yet "match fit", I like the look of him.

I think I've seen enough yo know he'll be a good acquisition for us; he's very mobile, athletic (even though he needs to improve his fitness) and has a lot to his game.

The problem is fitting everyone in and getting the right mix.

Given Howson will play the more defensive role, you've then got Tav, Crooks, Payero, McNair & JLS all vying for the remaining place(s).

Add to that that Crooks will always play if Sporar does and selecting the right balance becomes even more difficult.
