Why is that relevant?Especially as they actually wanted to move Coburn on in the summer.

Well v Sunderland he must have been having a bad day. Coburn was lumbering around like an old man, perfectly obvious to anyone with eyes that he was nowhere near his usual self and should not have been on the park.No. I don't read it that way. It isn't a case of Matty Crooks playing on needing a hernia op. Coburn has already had a procedure. Following this he is experiencing soreness is what I was told this week. Carrick says he has good days and bad days.
They had a striker but were blown out of the water by a quite massive bid.
It was actually painful to watch on Sunday wasn’t it as he looked a shadow of the player we all know he is, and it is clearly a risk playing a clearly injured player.Coburn was lumbering around like an old man, perfectly obvious to anyone with eyes that he was nowhere near his usual self and should not have been on the park.
it's not that baffling now Mcgree is back and Silvera is also backThis is making the decision to not bring anyone in even more baffling - they know Josh isn’t fit and should not be considered for first team duties, and they also know Lath has quite a serious injury that needs a lengthy recovery period. Greenwood is not a goalscoring centre forward, Forss is potentially a very good centre forward but he is seen as the right sided player of the front four - yep it does kind of feel as if they’ve said we’ll see if we can muddle along with what we have an hope for the best.

it also sounded like LL is nearly ready
Yes to be fair the same people though pulis and monk were good enough to manage us and sanctioned selling bamford to Leeds. Also known as the "a few blokes on a message board who think they know better than a professional recruitment team" thread
Seems people have forgotten we aint chucking good money after bad on over-hyped, over-paid players any more.it's not that baffling now Mcgree is back and Silvera is also back

I was disappointed in Carrick with the Colburn substitution. If he is injured why not bring Dijksteel on and put Silvera as striker. The pace would not have been impacted and Dijksteel would have been a good protection for a booked Ayling. It was actually painful to watch on Sunday wasn’t it as he looked a shadow of the player we all know he is, and it is clearly a risk playing a clearly injured player.
There was one moment just after he came on when they passed the ball across the back and coburn almost looked up as if to say do I risk it as he burst into a short sprint.
I only hope we don’t regret this approach.
I won’t even comment on our dearth of strikers whilst selling two of them as it’s just insanity to me. But nothing is going to change till the summer so we’re stuck with it.
We've heard that before, but fair play for sticking to our guns. There were players out there though, and we didn't really seem linked with anyone. I don't know if we were actually in for him, but Kiefer Moore would have been perfect to play the role Coburn played earlier in the season. They had a striker but were blown out of the water by a quite massive bid.
Coburn isn’t a 70 year old after a hip op who has good days and bad days. Hes a pro who has the best health care available to anyone. He’s playing because we are desperate. Just amateur on every level.No. I don't read it that way. It isn't a case of Matty Crooks playing on needing a hernia op. Coburn has already had a procedure. Following this he is experiencing soreness is what I was told this week. Carrick says he has good days and bad days.
I would be very surprised if we are playing Coburn if there is any risk to himself and injuring himself more. Carrick has said earlier in the season (I can't remember who about) that he wouldn't do that. He is obviously is rusty and not quite up to match fitness. As above, it's not like on FM when you have a fitness marker on your head, they have to make a decision based on what they see in training and what the player himself is saying.
I'm sure but that isn't necessarily putting the player at more risk. It will depend on the individual circumstance of the injury. We've had multiple players suffer through hernias in recent years.
Crooks spent half of a season with a hernia, and got slaughtered for his performances during it.
