I think Liverpool would be a poor move for him.
They are going one way and he is going the other.
I think people might be getting carried away. I do agree he is a talent and he could have his pick of clubs but it's early days. Very good performances so far but only against poor teams. There's no guarantee he'll go on to be a world beater and there have been plenty of young players over the years that have peaked early and their careers haven't been the same after a move. Sancho was the next big thing after the Euros and he hasn't even made the squad just a year later.
I do think he is a very good player though and he could go on to be a great. It's hard to say where would suit him best. I don't want to see him at Liverpool because I also don't like them and City would seem an obvious choice but Pep might be gone in a year or two and it might not be the same. Utd will have the money and they are desperate for a top quality midfielder. Bayern would probably be the best option for him. Guaranteed to win the league every year and go far in the champions league.

At the World Cup yes, but he's been putting in these performances most weeks in Dortmund for the last couple of seasons. Bossing games at 19 in one the most competitive leagues in the world is hugely impressive.

He is the captain of one of the biggest clubs in Germany at 19 and put in wonderful performances against top clubs in champions league. Way more exciting than Sancho

On the face of it retiring his shirt was a nonsense move, but as I understand it - he was out of contract and could have gone to Dortmund for free (and more money) but signed a new contract with BCFC to ensure they got some money for him (£20m)How I mocked when Birmingham made such a big deal about him when he left for Dortmund.
This could have put Dortmund off, and most certainly reduced his wages etc... no doubt it was a risk on his part. You could say with the player he is, he was always going to go on and do amazing but for a 16 year old to be that selfless and risk the advancement of his career (imagine he gets an injury next time out for Brum), you can perhaps understand more why they retired his shirt. A club legend, if not in terms of what he achieved over a number of years.
edit to add: the money they got for him stopped the club going under, so it wasn't just about getting a bit of cash

I can see him fitting into that city team easily. He’s probably closest to Toure in the Pep years and would be linking up with Haaland again, which I’m sure would help convince him it’s the place to be.
Marco Reus is the captain. Hummels is vice. Bellingham has been captain this season but only when those two have been injured. Admittedly, that is just pedantry but he isn't their captain. Dortmund haven't been great this season either. 6th in the league, lost half of their games. Harvey Elliott at Liverpool has similarly been playing every week for a top club including good performances in the champions league but we're not talking about him winning the Ballon D'or. Bellingham has had an extra year in the first team ahead of him than Elliott though so maybe we will be after the next Euros.
I don't think he is way more exciting than Sancho based on his Dortmund performances. I would say they are on par or at least there isn't a huge gulf between them. Like I say, I think he is, and will be, a top player but just making a point that it is easy to get carried away and not all players live up to their expectations. How many of those "Predicted England lineup at the +8 years from now World Cup" ever come true? I think it would be sensible to stay abroad and keep developing his skills, maybe Bayern then Real or Barca in a couple of seasons. Hes as good as he is on and off the pitch from learning his trade in germany, i dont think he would be half the player at 19 if he had been at a premier league side the for the last few seasons.

I am not even convinced Elliott will make it long term as a premier league player he's vastly overrated, there's no comparison

This, he's been a world beater for the last two years. I thought without seeing him that he was just an overhyped youngster but when I started watching Borrosia last season I realised he is a special talent, he could have played more at the Euro 20 than he did.

It's offensive to Bellingham to have his name in the same sentence as Harvey Elliott and Jadon Sancho.

I do agree. I don't think he's particularly special but before the World Cup they have a similar position in the game. Both starting midfielders for one of the best sides in one of the best leagues. Both teams are under performing in the league but done well in the Champions League. Bellingham is in the England squad (and deservedly so) but Harvey is keeping Henderson out of Liverpool's team so he's no mug.Harvey Elliot

I think 2020 was too early for him, he'd only played championship football, and only 32 starts. Now he's a completely different player from that raw kid
It was played in 2021. He'd played a full season at Dortmund
