Couldn’t be prouder of the team and fans today. First half was a difficult watch. Engel and Greenwood down the left were awful. Azaz and OBrian were jogging around without a care in the world and Barlaser probably said sorry when he tried to tackle someone.
On a side note I firmly believe we need new full backs in the summer. Good guys but not good enough.
BUT Carrick made some great changes. Credit. The pace of Silvera scared Southampton. Azaz started to come into the game. The team probably could sense that Southampton were very nervous. Latte missed a great chance prior to the goal but what a wonderful goal it was. Credit to Gilbert for the cross and a great header.
A reserve side got a deserved point. Fans did us proud. Turned up in numbers.
Who ordered the 90th minute latte? (Sorry stolen from social media).
